Although some kinds of water pollution can occur through natural processes,it is mostly a result of human activities.We use water daily in our homes and industries. The amount of water used is about 150 gallons per day person in the country. For millions of years,the water we have has been able to do this because there are natural cycles that clean the water each time we use it.

People are causing water to get polluted.Industries in the cities dump chemicals and waste products into the rivers,lakes and oceans.People throw trash-furniture,garbage,old tyres ,and anything rubbish they think useless into the water.Water pollution also occurs when rain water runs off from urban and industrial areas and too from agricultural land and mining operations and makes its way back to receiving waters,like river,lake or ocean and into the ground
